The article written by Elena Ferrante is called «‘I devote myself to
plants. Is it because I am afraid of them?’». The author devotes our attention
to such an inconspicuous thing in our daily life as a plant. She analyzes how
much she loves them and take care of them wishing to do only the best. And at
the same time Elena Ferrante draw the reader’s attention to the point that
flowers are prisoners: «They can’t move, they can’t seek shelter, they can’t
escape clippers, hatchets, saws». Nevertheless, the author admires that plants
have in themselves a blind force that doesn’t fit with their cheerful colours,
their pleasing scents. There is an example of images of burning forests at the
movies or on television that shows how the life evaporates. That's why Elena
Ferrante admits she is afraid of plants: they are symbolisms
that apply to any form of life.

They successfully combined a historical background with a difficult fate of the characters, showing at the same time a touchable drama and an epic action. Since it is a biographical film, the storyline tells us about a brave and courageous woman Lyudmila Pavlichenko who was one of the greatest snipers during the World War II. Yulia Peresild did a great job playing the lead role. The most interesting thing for me was ...
Hello Sasha,
ОтветитьУдалитьWhat an unusual topic this article is devoted to! I am really interested to learn from you the reason why it attracted your attention. I'm not saying it is not worth it but I'm not quite sure about what issue or issues you can actually discuss in connection with it. Do you have an idea?
Some points to consider:
ОтветитьУдалитьElena Ferrante **draw (WF)the reader’s attention
You need to add the reference details to the article you have summarised. It's common to do it when you refer to any publication you discuss in your work.
Sasha,
ОтветитьУдалитьThe article you have summarised is interesting but not quite appropriate for the purposes of the task it had to be written in connection with. The idea was to choose an article devoted to a socially important issue connected with the life of young people
Consider this: Ferrante **draw (WF) the reader’s attention
Sasha,
УдалитьI'm sorry but I'd like to ask you to explain why you haven't published your essay draft of a For and Against Essay that was the task after this one?
